After much planning, decorating, sourcing, packaging, pricing, and more, it was time to launch. Celebrating with a small party for friends, family, and everyone in between, we finally shared our second brand, Scissor Noir and painting products with the world. There’s no one way to start a business, so it was great to see everyone that helped us find our own way here in one room with us. Before photography, capturing the likeness of a loved one was tricky business. Painted portraits proved too costly for most, but a silhouette required nothing more than paper and scissors. These "shades" became popular in the late 18th century, when wives kept them as mementos of husbands at war and friends sent them to each other through the mail. One of my favorite restyled spaces to date. I had so much fun creating this space for three little ladies 2 years ago. I remember walking into this blank canvas and my client said, "here's our budget, we don't have a vision so do whatever you wish" ☺️ Having the trust from a client to create my vision usually makes for fabulous results!
